The Architecture of Connection: Why Custom Multigenerational Building is My Passion
For years, I’ve watched the "standard" building industry try to solve the multigenerational puzzle with a simple guest room. But after years of listening to families in the OKC metro, I realized that isn't enough. People don’t just need more room; they need a way to stay close without losing themselves.
At Hidden Haven Homes, my passion is designing spaces where three generations can exist under one roof—or across one backyard—without ever feeling like they are stepping on each other’s toes. Here is the "expert level" of what it actually takes to build a home that honors every member of your family.
1. Designing for the "In-Between" Spaces
True custom building is about the quiet moments. It’s about the acoustic engineering that goes into a Multigenerational Living suite.
When I design these homes, I insist on staggered-stud wall construction and advanced sound-dampening between floors. Why? Because luxury means Mom can enjoy her early morning routine in her suite while you sleep in, and your adult children can have their own space to grow without feeling like they are "living at home." It’s about creating a home where you only hear each other when you want to.
2. Stealth Accessibility: Dignity by Design
One of my personal missions is "Stealth Accessibility." I believe that a home should support you as you age without ever looking like a clinical environment.
Zero-Threshold Living: We design our Cottage Series with seamless transitions. No lips, no steps—just a beautiful flow from the bedroom to the patio.
Curbless Sanctuaries: We craft spa-like bathrooms with massive, curbless rain showers and designer fixtures that provide support without sacrificing the high-end aesthetic of a Luxury Construction project.
3. Sovereignty of the Thermostat
It sounds small, but independence often boils down to control. An expert build means Systems Sovereignty. I ensure our suites have dedicated HVAC zones and independent smart-home integration. If the grandparents want it 75 degrees and the kids want it 68, everyone wins. It’s about giving every generation the power to control their own environment.
4. Built for the Oklahoma Horizon
I live and build in the OKC metro—from Newcastle to Edmond. My passion for this work is tied to our landscape. When I talk about the Moore High Wind Code or OKC's backyard ordinances, it’s because I’m building a haven that I would trust my own family in.
In my world, Luxury isn't just the gold hardware or the marble countertops you see on the surface. True luxury is found in the integrity of the things you can’t see. It’s the structural strapping that anchors your home against an Oklahoma storm, the precision-engineered DEQ-approved septic systems in our Newcastle builds, and the architectural backbone that ensures this home stands for seventy years, not just seven.
We don't build 'expensive' houses—we build investment-grade havens. We invest in the foundation so you can invest in your family
A Personal Invitation
If you’ve been dreaming of a home that brings your family closer while giving everyone the space they deserve, I’d love to help you find that balance. This isn't just a business for me; it’s about building the place where your family’s best memories will happen.
